The Esther L. Cathy Alumni Faculty Center
The Cathy House is a beautiful, 1920s-era historical home, an exact replica of an English Tudor-style home the original owner visited as a child. In 1979, the Alumni Association purchased the house. Truett Cathy, philanthropist and founder of Chick-fil-A, made a generous gift to enable this, provided funding to pay off the mortgage and underwrite repairs. The house was dedicated in honor of Mr. Cathy's sister, Esther, an alumna from the class of 1927.
Filled with lovely antique furnishings and surrounded by lush gardens, the Cathy House is often rented by alumni for small gatherings, such as baby or bridal showers, receptions, business meetings or garden brunches. Rental privileges are exclusive to alumni, faculty and staff. Rates vary, depending on the size and time span of your event.
The Alumni Admissions Recruiting Team (AARTist Program)
The program is a partnership between the Office of Admissions and the Alumni Relations Office to expand the university's ability to serve prospective students and their families while facilitating the recruitment and enrollment of these students to GCSU. For further information please e-mail the Director of Admissions, Mike Augustine,
mike.augustine@gcsu.edu or the Director of Alumni Relations, Chad Crabtree,
