Collections, Procedures and Policies

The herbarium and the associated paleobotanical collection have combined holdings of approximately 1/2 million specimens. Vascular plant, bryophyte, lichen, wood and paleobotanical collections and the herbarium library are located in the Florida Museum of Natural History at Dickinson Hall. The fungal collection is located in building 168. Please refer to each collection's pages for information on administrative contacts and policies. Researchers planning a visit to a collection should make prior arrangements with the administrator in charge of the collection.
