For all scholarships, the student must maintain satisfactory academic progress, evaluated annually as defined by the SAP Guidelines for Financial Aid Recipients. Additional criteria specific to each scholarship is defined below.
Nutmeg Scholarship
The student must achieve a minimum 3.0 grade point average at the end of the first and second year, and a 3.2 GPA at the end of the third and fourth year. Calculation of GPA pertains only to courses taken on campus and will not include high school co-op courses. The student must maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the SAP Guidelines for Financial Aid Recipients. If the minimum renewal criterion criteria is not met the student will be given one semester to meet academic standards. This is referred to as recruitment scholarship probation semester. After the probation semester has ended, the student’s academic performance is reviewed. If both academic minimums are not me t, recruitment scholarship eligibility is terminated. The student may appeal termination of the recruitment scholarship in writing to the OSFAS.
Day of Pride Scholarship
The student must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average at the end of the first and second year, and a 3.2 GPA at the end of the third and fourth year. Recipients will also, maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the SAP Guidelines for Financial Aid Recipients. If the student is unable to meet the above academic standards, the student is given one academic year (two semesters) to meet the academic standards. This is referred to as recruitment scholarship probation year. After the probation year has ended, the academic performance is reviewed again. If both academic minimums are not met, recruitment scholarship eligibility is terminated. The student may appeal termination of the recruitment scholarship in writing to the OSFAS.
Leadership Scholarship, Academic Excellence Scholarship, Presidential Scholars Award and Uconn Award
The student must maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average and maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the SAP Guidelines for Financial Aid Recipients. If the student is unable to meet the above academic standards, the student is given one academic year (two semesters) to meet the academic standards. This is referred to as recruitment scholarship probation year. After the probation year has ended, the academic performance is reviewed again. If both academic minimums are not met, recruitment scholarship eligibility is terminated. The student may appeal the termination of the recruitment scholarship in writing to the OSFAS.
Partnership Scholarship
The student must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the SAP Guidelines for Financial Aid Recipients. Leave of Absence
If you take a leave of absence and were awarded a scholarship by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, please notify the OSFAS in writing.
