Effective for Spring 2013: Ability-to-Benefit Regulation
This new regulation, signed into law December 23, 2011, eliminates Federal student aid eligibility for students who do not have a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent (e.g., GED). These students will not be eligible to receive Title IV student aid. As a result, applicants who do not have an earned associate level or higher degree will be required to submit high school transcripts as part of the admission process, regardless of the number of college semester hours previously earned.
If you are applying for Digital Animation and Game Design BAS, you will also need to submit a portfolio as part of the admission process.
For guest students, there is an option is designed for those who need to complete some Continuing Education Units, maintain a certification, or just want to take one or two classes. This allows you to bypass some of the application/admission process.
Note: If you don't know which location and degree you are interested in, you can take a look at our complete list of programs. For information on all degrees available from Ferris, check out the University's full catalog. If you don't see the site or program you're looking for, please call (800) 562-9130 for assistance.
