Nurses with BSN degrees typically earn higher salaries than ADN or diploma nurses and have additional opportunities to assume leadership roles in community and health care institutions.

This program, designed for associate degree and diploma RNs who want to further their education, provides a balanced, contemporary perspective of the issues in health care. Most nurses receive tuition reimbursement through their employer and classes are scheduled in the evenings or held online (or a mixture of classroom and online) – all to accommodate the busy lives of working nurses. You will build on prior nursing education and be equipped with the theory-based knowledge and skills to work in many of the new expanding fields of nursing. You will be prepared to lead health-care teams, coordinate and plan nursing care for a variety of clients, collaborate with other health professionals, and make confident, independent decisions.

As a BSN graduate, you will be prepared to assume leadership roles for coordinating and planning nursing care. Job opportunities are fast-growing and diverse. The baccalaureate nursing program also serves as the foundation for graduate nursing studies. This program is fully accredited by NLNAC.

Application Deadlines
Fall Semester (August):
Applications must be received by June 1.
All application materials, including transcripts, must be received by Ferris no later than June 15. Spring Semester (January):
Applications must be received by November 1.
All application materials, including transcripts, must be received by Ferris no later than November 15.
An applicant who submits their application after the deadline AND/OR the transcripts and required items are not received by the deadline will not be eligible for admission to the upcoming semester. In such cases the application will be processed for the next semester or cohort start as applicable.

Admission Requirements:

• Must have cumulative GPA of 2.0
• RN License
• C or better grade in ENGL 150 & 250
• C or better grade in 7-8 credits of science with one course having a lab
• C or better grade in at least MATH 110
