The Michigan College of Optometry (MCO) is located at the Ferris State University Big Rapids campus and has a student body of over 150 students, 18 full-time faculty and 90 adjunct clinical faculty.  In addition to the professional degree program, MCO sponsors 12 clinical residency programs.  The primary clinical program is located at the University Eye Center (UEC) on the Big Rapids campus.  Additionally, the UEC provides clinical care and education at several community health and school-based facilities in West Michigan.

Ferris State University is positioned in the heart of Michigan's lower peninsula, an area rich in recreational and tourist attractions.  The 880-acre main campus is located in the city of Big Rapids, a small, scenic community of approximately 15,000 residents.
