OVERVIEW
The Leader's Training Course (LTC), held at Fort Knox, KY, is a 4 ½-week course taken in the summer to allow someone without any previous military experience to gain entrance into the last 2 years of the Army ROTC program. Students do not incur any expenses during the training. They are housed, fed, paid, and transported to and from Fort Knox.

You must sign a conditional contract with the intent to join the ROTC program before attending this course. If you qualify for and accept an ROTC scholarship, then you incur a 4-Year active duty commitment. If you decide to enroll in ROTC upon graduation (non-scholarship), you could fulfill a 3-year active duty commitment, or 6-year Reserve or National Guard commitment. Additionally, you incur the following commitments while attending your last 2 years of college: All cadets are required to take one ROTC advanced course class per semester and a lab. The time commitment is approximately 7-10 hours weekly.
