It is required by the University for all students to have health insurance. You are required to carry health insurance during Fall and Spring semesters. You do have the option of opting out.

HTH Worldwide is the approved health insurance of Ferris State University and you are automatically enrolled in its plan. To opt out of this you must provide proof of a comparable policy. HTH Worldwide only covers you while you are in the United States.

Fall and Spring: If you would like to apply for the insurance wavier, you must apply by completing the waiver form and submitting it to International Student Services.  Late waiver applications will not be accepted—no exceptions.

Summer: If you would like to continue your health insurance coverage over the Summer semester, please e-mail dyet4@ferris.edu as soon as possible. Remember that health insurance coverage is recommended over the Summer, but not required!
