Multiple student awards at 2nd Annual President’s Research Poster Competition

Department News
Graduate and Undergraduate students from the Department of Environmental Sciences fared extremely well in the 2nd Annual President’s Research Poster Competition (held on May 4th).
There were 3 categories, and we had finalists in all three, and winners in 2.
  • Undergraduate (finalist):  Mary Olivia Hutton, “The impact of urbanization on nitrogen dynamics in Tanzania”, with Jim Galloway and Allie Leach
  • Graduate (winner):  Laura Reynolds and Jill Greiner, “The restoration of ecosystem services to the Virginia coastal bays”, with Karen McGlathery
  • Post-doc (winner):  Daniel Hobley, “Reading a storm from its impact:  the Ladakh floods, 6th August 2010”, with Alan Howard.
