Graduate and Undergraduate students from the Department of Environmental Sciences fared extremely well in the 2nd Annual President’s Research Poster Competition (held on May 4th).
There were 3 categories, and we had finalists in all three, and winners in 2.
- Undergraduate (finalist): Mary Olivia Hutton, “The impact of urbanization on nitrogen dynamics in Tanzania”, with Jim Galloway and Allie Leach
- Graduate (winner): Laura Reynolds and Jill Greiner, “The restoration of ecosystem services to the Virginia coastal bays”, with Karen McGlathery
- Post-doc (winner): Daniel Hobley, “Reading a storm from its impact: the Ladakh floods, 6th August 2010″, with Alan Howard.
