Briefly:
Hodan Farah Wells, an economist with the Economic Research Service, joined USDA in September 2004. As part of the consumption team in the Diet, Safety, and Health Economics Branch, she is responsible for identifying and evaluating economic factors affecting dietary trends and communicating research findings in publications and presentations. She is also responsible for managing the Food Availability (Per Capita) Data System which contains three distinct but related data series on food and nutrient availability for consumption.

Education:
Hodan received her M.A. in Agricultural Economics from Washington State University. She also holds an M.A. in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Anthropology from George Mason University.

Hodan is a member of the American Agricultural Economics Association.
