POST-BACCALAUREATE CERTIFICATION

Students who already hold a bachelor’s degree may prepare for teacher certification through post-baccalaureate work in teacher education. These graduate programs lead to teacher certification in the State of Connecticut and do not result in a master’s degree.

Post-Baccalaureate students are considered graduate students and must apply to the graduate office for admission. After admission to the graduate school and advising, students apply to the School of Education and Professional Studies when eligible.

Pre-admission Advising

  • Attend a graduate open house – information posted on graduate school website.
  • Attend an informational meeting with the assistant dean. The schedule of meetings is posted on School of Education website.
