The Economics Department offers courses leading to the bachelor’s degree. The Department has a commitment to prepare students to be thoughtful, responsible, successful and involved citizens in a rapidly changing world. The Department also aspires to increase understanding of the (1) significance that Heterodox Approaches play in Economics and (2) the interconnectedness of the social and behavioral sciences. The Economics major offers students the opportunity to explore different views and approaches to economic questions and policies, allowing them to develop critical thinking skills. We provide our students with the insight into what motivates individuals to behave the way they do and how they interact with each other.
