The ECE Trust Fund is the fund for supporting the general activities of ECE ILLINOIS.

This fund honors the memory of one of engineering’s most distinguished educators, as well as a former department head of ECE and dean of the College of Engineering.

This fund honors the memory and achievements of M. Stanley Helm through a scholarship presented to an undergraduate with a a strong potential for leadership in the area of electric power engineering.

The Nick Holonyak Jr. Chair was established to honor Nick Holonyak Jr. (BSEE ’50, MSEE ’51, PhD ’54), one of the departments most prominent faculty members and alumni.

The Nick and Katherine Holonyak Jr. Graduate Student Award recognizes a doctoral student in the semiconductor optoelectronics and high-speed microelectronics area.

This fund honors the memory and achievements of Jack S. Kilby (BSEE ’47), who received the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics for his invention of the integrated circuit.
