The OSaR process supports the University’s strategic aims of embedding and supporting a culture of performance management and improvement throughout the University to unlock the full productive capacity of staff during the challenging times ahead.
It was agreed with the Campus Unions that a review would take place of the OSAR procedure, once the system had been embedded and operating for a substantive period of time. This review has now taken place and has resulted in greater clarity around the role of the OSAR process and a streamlining of the documentation used to support the process. This has resulted in one set of forms to be used for all staff.
Individual members of staff will continue to meet annually with their reviewer or line manager to review their achievements over the previous year and agree their objectives for the forthcoming year. The meeting will also provide the opportunity to identify training or personal development needs.
