Absolutely Delicious News - Free Freshens Smoothies Tasting!

Monday, June 4th from 10:00am - 11:00am only, the Union Street Market Cafe in the Student Union will hold a free Freshens smoothie tasting of all of our varieties of flavors!! Mark your calendar NOW to stop by and enjoy just one or two or ALL of them!!!

Dining Services is Pleased to Offer Three Cooking Camps This Summer

A Note of Appreciation to Dining Services
We would like to share a letter we received from a student needing a specialized diet due to celiac. She writes:
"Dear Mr. Pierce...I'm a UConn PhD student with Celiac. I've been here for four years, and I expect to be here for another three. I wanted to take a moment to let you know that the gluten free offerings and the sensitivity of your staff have truly been one of the best parts on my experience. I'm on campus most days of the week, so having tasty, healthful, safe options available makes a huge difference for me. I didn't realize I would have this perk when I applied here, but I now tell everyone how thrilled and proud I am to be at a university that takes such great care of students and staff with dietary restrictions. Thank you for everything your staff does on a daily basis to make this campus GF friendly."
If you are a student on campus who needs to follow a gluten free diet, please contact us at 860-486-3128 and we will be more than happy to set up a meeting with you to plan your meals.
Dining Units Open This Summer
South Dining will be open this summer for meal service beginning May 14th - August 3rd (closed July 4th). Buckley will then be open for meal service August 4th - 12th. South will re-open on August 13th through the Fall 2012 semester. (Fall meal plan begins at brunch on August 25th) Hours are as follows: Breakfast: 7:00am - 9:30am, Lunch: 11:00am - 1:30pm, Dinner 3:30pm - 7:15pm.
