About this series

EdCast, a Telly Award winning monthly cable program dedicated to the most pressing education issues of the day, is hosted by Professor Linda Hirsch of Hostos Community College and Jim Carney of Lehman College. EdCast brings together a diverse set of viewpoints to tackle these issues and make them accessible to viewers. Many of the most important civic leaders and educators have discussed critical issues such as mayoral control of New York City schools, arts education, literacy development, and school bullying. With Linda’s background in education and Jim’s in journalism, this team has the knowledge and connections to ignite serious and meaningful conversations about education
