Student Research Awards

Congratulations to two BACS students who have won research awards!

Sara Alspaugh (BACS 2009) won the ACM Best Undergraduate Student Poster award at SuperComputing 2008 for her poster on
href=”http://www.cs.virginia.edu/alspaugh/dmp/”>Policy-Driven Data Management for Distributed Scientific Collaborations Using a Rule Engine.

Rachel Miller (BACS 2009) was a finalist for the 2009 CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Award, a national award recognizing “undergraduate students in North American universities who show outstanding research potential in an area of computing research”.
