These are the answers to some frequently asked questions about the Police Department asked by both parents and students.
- Our campus is safe, use common sense, walk with a friend, walk in well lit areas.
- Use our escort service, 7pm to 7am.
- Call and let someone know when you are spending the night out.
- Campus 911 system.
- Obey traffic and parking regulations.
- Alcohol contributes to the majority of our student related crimes and arrest and when you're arrested, its a real arrest.
- In order to make students aware of crime that occurs on campus we issue and post campus alerts. We also use e-mail, campus newspaper and housing.
- We offer a variety of crime prevention programs throughout the year dealing with sexual assualt, male sexual awareness, rape prevention, drugs, alcohol, and crime prevention. We tailor it to your group.
- We have a very active student leadership program that allows students to work as their schedule permits. Students assist with crime prevention, athletic events, concerts, dignitary visits and more.
