Spider
Spider is a program made available by the Office of Information Technologies at Cornell University. Through channels supported by the higher-education technology association called EDUCAUSE ( http://www.educause.edu), Cornell has graciously made this tool available for use by other Universities.
Spider scans your hard drive, web site, or other collection of files to identify confidential data such as social security, credit card, or bank account and routing numbers. When the scan is complete, Spider produces a list of files that may potentially contain confidential data.
