Student Clubs

A big part of your college experience takes place outside the classroom. Student organizations are a great way for you to take advantage of cocurricular opportunities that both guarantee new lifelong friendships and strengthen your résumé.

You can choose from more than 100 academic, cultural and social organizations. From our Greek organizations to the Chess Club, from the Chinese Language and Culture Club to the Poetry Club, from the Health and Nutrition Science Club to the Debate Society — we have so many exciting groups that you’re bound to find a few that will serve your diverse interests.

Regardless of your area of study, you can join our all-volunteer Emergency Medical Squad. You can also participate in the student media groups, which include three student newspapers — Kingsman, Excelsior and Nightcall — and Brooklyn College Radio (WBCR), our on-campus radio station where student deejays play both classic and contemporary hits in pop, alternative rock, rhythm and blues, heavy metal and hip-hop.

If you would like more information about the benefits of participation, our friendly staff at Student Activities Central will be more than happy to provide counsel and mentorship.
