Job Vacancy - Exam Services Executive

The British Council is the United Kingdom's principal organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations and our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relations between people in the UK and in other countries. We are inviting professional and dynamic candidates for the following post to work in Examination Services Team. Based in Hanoi, you will:

• Provide administrative support in the delivery of examination activity and manage security and storage of all examination material and documentation
• Provide logistic arrangements for venue and venue staff in the delivery of examination activity in Hanoi and N of Vietnam
• Support the delivery of any agreed marketing and promotional strategy by providing administration services to organisations, sub centres, agents and other key contacts
• Work closely with wider examinations national team including customer service and marketing colleagues

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong evidence of competencies and similar experience in:

• Achievement (level 2): Ability to overcome obstacles to achieve goals;
• Customer service orientation (level 2): Ability to provide high quality service to customers;
• Team working (level 2): Ability to actively includes individuals from diverse background in team activities;
• Professional confidence (level 2): Ability to work independently
• Relationship building for influence (Level 1): Ability to use facts, data and rational arguments to influence and persuade
• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other software packages)
• Good language skills; Ability to read, write, understand and speak English and Vietnamese to at least C1 level (CEF)

Contract status: Indefinite contract or fixed-term 6 month contract (starting July 2011)

Gross salary following British Council local grade H, according to experience and qualifications, together with attractive benefit package and career development opportunities.
