JOB VACANCY – ELT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The British Council in Vietnam works with individuals, educational institutions, government and business to deliver programmes in Education and society, English, and the arts. We are now looking for an experienced professional to manage the English Language Teaching (ELT) Development Programme of British Council. Based in Hanoi, you will:

• work with the Senior ELT Development Manager to plan, manage and implement  the in-country regional ELT projects in partnership with MoET, DoETs, tertiary institutions and other potential partners.
• establish and maintain good relationships with external partners, stakeholders, customers and clients such as MoET, DoETs, colleges, universities, tertiary institutions, ELT suppliers, School Heads, ELT specialists, trainers, teachers, consultants and commercial partners.
• promote the work of British Council ELT through implementing our communications strategy and supporting the pursuit of new partnerships.
• manage budget and team performance.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong evidence of behaviours and similar experience in:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Vietnamese including translation and interpretation with good project management skills

• Shaping the future
• Creating Shared Purpose
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar roles would be desirable

Annual gross salary of British Council local grade G according to experience and qualifications
