The UK government, together with the British Council and other related organisations work closely together to ensure that the experience of all international students in the United Kingdom is a safe and rewarding one.  

The British Council has published brochures for international students called Creating Confidence and First Steps Guide which provides guidance for new students on how to look after themselves and their belongings when they arrive in the UK and what to do in case of an emergency.
