About Under the Radar

Now in its eighth year, the Under the Radar Festival at the Public Theater spotlights contemporary performance on an international scale. The diverse program features performers ranging from emerging talents to contemporary masters in the field.

About Arts Presenters

The Arts Presenters annual conference is the largest North American booking and information conference for the performing arts community. Each year, thousands of presenters, artists, and other arts professionals travel to New York City for a members-only gathering.

About ISPA

Twice a year, international arts leaders convene to exchange and develop ideas, strengthen and nurture relationships, and rejuvenate their passion for the arts. ISPA Congresses link individuals from different backgrounds, cultures, disciplines, sectors and aesthetics with the common goal of celebrating their interconnectedness and advancing the field of the performing arts on a global scale.

Connecting with the performing arts
in 2012

Each year, New York is host to a whirlwind of performing arts activity from across the world -- from industry meetings like the annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) Conference and the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) Congress to cutting edge art at the 2012 Under the Radar Festival.

UK performance at Under the Radar

British artists Blind Summit and the UK/German collective Gob Squad perform as part of this year's Under the Radar Festival.  Follow @UTRFestival and @BCArtsUSA for updates on the festival's UK artists.

Blind Summit: The Table

Blind Summit presents their version of extreme puppetry in which a cantakerous puppet experiences an existential crisis--on a table.  Inspired by Beckett, the Bible and IKEA, The Table was an award-winning, sold-out sensation at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe.

Gob Squad: Super Night Shot

Gob Squad declares a “War on Anonymity," sending four artists onto New York City streets armed with synchronized video cameras. The result is an uncut, unedited series of comic and surreal adventures that celebrate unexpected meetings with strangers.
