Michaela Corr is the Conference Coordinator for the Education Team. She joins the British Council after four years on Pohnpei, an island-state within the Federated States of Micronesia. While on Pohnpei, Michaela worked at the U.S. Embassy in Public Diplomacy and helped establish the first in-country EducationUSA Advising Center and EducationUSA College Fair. In addition to her embassy work, Michaela served as Pohnpei Field Director and an English/Spanish Instructor with World Teach, a non-profit that sends volunteer teachers to developing countries.
Previous to her time in the Pacific, Michaela worked in marketing for The Walt Disney Company and interned with Lucky, a Conde Nast publication. Michaela received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Davidson College in North Carolina. In addition to study experience in Spain, Michaela served as a translator and a photographer for a 2007 Timmy Foundation medical relief expedition to Quito, Ecuador.
