Individual approach to corporate needs

We can offer company employees to be either trained in closed groups or placed in our public groups in accordance with their level of knowledge.

Please choose which is more appropriate to you to see more details:

Public Corporate Groups

We can offer company employees to be placed in our public groups in accordance with their level of knowledge.

We offer three regular terms throughout the year. Classes are held once, twice or three times a week for two clock hours (60 minutes), total four clock hours per week in different time slots. We also offer intensive terms in summer lasting for three weeks in July and August. Classes are held every day Monday through Friday for three clock hours throughout a day.

Testing

Testing and tuition take place in our building, where we have nine equipped classrooms. Students will also have free access to British Council English learning resources including multimedia computers and an opportunity to join our English Speaking Club, Book Club and other activities.

Choose Course

You can choose the course type from General English, Business English, English for Lawyers, International exams preparation classes. Please note that while General English courses are given at all levels, Business English courses are offered at pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate and advanced levels. English for Lawyers is offered at upper-intermediate level. They are designed to enable business people and students of business to practise a variety of business communication skills. At all levels the lessons are conducted entirely in English, in order to improve students’ communicative ability.

Placement Report

We provide a company with a placement report, which is based on test results. The placement report shows days and times of classes indicating the first date of studies.

Agreement And Invoice

An agreement is signed before the start of the course after the company has been informed about the placement results. The company is invoiced for the entire 40-hour course after the agreement is signed. The price of one term (40 clock hours) of studying English per student is 3800 UAH. The payment can be made at the cashier’s desk at the British Council. The cost of books is not included in tuition fees.

Feedback

We operate a system of continuous assessment whereby students receive counselling and guidance based upon their performance in class and at home. We will provide the company with a mid-term attendance report. At the end of the course each student receives a report including the course grade received, comments made by the teacher on a student’s performance and recommendations for future studies. Copies of these reports are also sent to the company’s management. In addition, upon successful completion of an entire level (false beginners, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate), students will receive a British Council certificate.

Private Corporate Groups

We offer closed groups for company employees and a specialised programme to suit the needs of the company.

Need Analysis

The first step is for us to visit you to discuss further your needs, to look at the type of English your staff need in the workplace, at their background, general aims and objectives, plus the desired pattern of training.

Testing

Once you have identified the staff who need training, we will carry out testing. This consists of a written exam followed by an individual interview with an examiner. The results of the two tests enable us to pinpoint the level of English of that particular employee, and also to ascertain their own individual needs. Testing can take place in the company or in our premises. The test fee is 50 UAH per person.

Proposal

We will send you a proposal for English language training for your employees which includes:

The results for all employees and an interpretation of the levels.
Suggested groups formed on the basis of test results and the company’s priorities; maximum class size is 14 people. Ideally students in a group should be of one homogenous level, to facilitate more effective learning.
Recommended course length and class schedule.
The recommended course type: General English, Business English, English for Lawyers, Financial English, international exams preparation classes or special skills courses. Lessons are conducted entirely in English, in order to improve students’ communicative ability.
Cost. Companies are charged on an hourly basis. One clock hour (60 minutes) of tuition costs 700 UAH per group of not more than 14 students. A minimum course consists of 40 hours of tuition. Payment can be made in cash to the cashier’s desk at the British Council office. The cost of course books is not included in tuition fees.
Location of training: tuition can take place either at the company or at the British Council, where we have nine fully-equipped classrooms. Students will also have free access to British Council English learning resources including multimedia computers.

Agreement and Invoice

Following the company’s approval of the proposal, an agreement is signed before the start of the course. The agreement includes all major terms and conditions negotiated between the Company and the Teaching Centre. A copy of the standard agreement is available upon request. The company is invoiced for the entire course after the agreement is signed.

Feedback and Certificates

We operate a system of continuous assessment whereby students receive counselling and guidance based upon their performance in class and in homework. We will provide the company with a mid-term attendance report. At the end of the course each student receives a report including the course grade received, comments made by the teacher on the student’s performance and recommendations for future studies. Copies of these reports are also sent to the company’s management. Upon successful completion of an entire level, students will receive a British Council certificate.
