How to register for IELTS online

From the drop-down list select Ukraine.

2. Find Test Date

Select the month when you would like to sit the exam.

Select the city/town where you would like to sit the exam or ‘any’ to see all available places and dates for the chosen period.

Specify the module of the exam you are going to sit.

The Academic Module assesses whether a candidate is ready to study or train in the medium of English at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.

The General Training Module is suitable for candidates who are going to English speaking countries to complete their secondary education, to undertake work experience or training programmes not at degree level, or for immigration purposes to Australia, Canada and New Zealand. The General Training Modules are not offered at all test sessions.

We cannot advise you on which module you need to take. Please check with the institute/authority you are applying to directly. It is your responsibility to select the module that best meets your needs. Note: you will not be able to change the module once you register.

After selecting the module click Find.

3. Check Availability

Find the city where you would like to sit the exam and the chosen date and if there are places available click Apply.

If there is no exam on the chosen date in the city where you would like to sit it find a different location for the same date or a later examination date for the same city.

If there are no places available (you see the word full) please e-mail the British Council examination department in Kyiv ( ielts@britishcouncil.org.ua) to find out if there might be places later. We will put you on the waiting list and contact you if a vacant place appears.

If you want to sit the exam on the date for which registration deadline has expired, you will not see it in the list of the dates available. Please email us to find out about the availability of places on that date.

5. Candidate Details

Title Choose Dr, Mr, Miss, Mrs or Ms
Other name(s) Your first name (and middle name(s) if any). These names must be the same as the names in your Identification Document (Passport), and must appear in the same order.
Family Name Your last name.
First Lanugage Select the language from the drop-down list.
Country or Region of Origin Select form the list given.
Email Address Provide an email address we can reach you on.
Confirm Email Address Repeat the same email address.
Date of Birth Your date of birth (Date / Month / Year)
Identification document Choose Passport. You will need to have your foreign passport and a second photographic ID (Ukrainian national passport or driving license etc.) on the examination date.
Identification Document Number Provide the number of your passport.
Identification Document Expiry Select the date
Gender Select Female or Male as appropriate.
Address
Country Provide your full postal address including postal code for delivery of your Test Report Form.
Please note, you will be sent one copy of your results.
Candidates residing in Kiev will need to collect their exam results at the British Council office.
Candidates who live in Odessa, Lviv or Donetsk may choose to collect their exam results at the British Council offices in those cities.
Contact number Provide two contact numbers, one of them preferably a mobile phone we can reach you on.

Do you have any special needs due to ill health/ medical conditions? Refers to special needs such as learning difficulties, visual or hearing impairment, etc. Please provide brief description. Candidates should contact us at least 8 weeks prior to your preferred test date. Detailed medical evidence has to be supplied. For more information please contact the IELTS Administrator.
Send IELTS results to other institutions?

If you need your TRF to be sent to an immigration office or an educational institution please give details of up to 5 academic institutions/government agencies/professional bodies/employers you would like your results sent to.

Results may be sent either electronically or by post to these institutions. The centre may charge a postal fee for results sent internationally or by courier. The Test Report Form will NOT be sent to education agencies. No certificates will be sent to private addresses.

Please note that institutions and organisations you specify may access your results on-line before you receive them by post. The TRFs will not be sent without your confirmation by email after the release of exams results.

6. Summary

Please read the summary of your application form carefully. Check the IELTS Test Details and your Candidate Details. If everything is correct click Apply.

Print out the summary page and sign it in a specified area.
