British Council in Odesa

The British Council in Odesa was officially opened by the British Ambassador in February 1997. Our work covers four regions of South Ukraine – Odesa, Mykolayiv, Kirovohrad, Kherson – and the Crimea.

In 2008 the British Council in Odessa donated the main part of its library collection to the partner institution – Odesa International Humanitarian University. British books on management, politics, popular science, fiction and films (VHS and DVD) are available for wider public use in the library of the University, telephone +380 48 719 8837.

The British Council in Odesa collaborates with partners on the implementation of different projects such as Creative Cities, Teachers’ International Professional Development Programme, Connecting Classrooms, Social Enterprise Development.

We also administer Cambridge ESOL, distance learning and professional examinations in South Ukraine.
