Our Shared Europe
Our Shared Europe seeks to explore our shared values, perspectives and behaviours in a way that is based on mutual respect and trust. In particular, it is about acknowledging the contribution of a diverse set of communities and cultures – both in the past but also in the present – to the shaping of contemporary European society.
The project combines a wide range of exciting activities focusing mainly on young people, organised in collaboration with our partners in Turkey, being the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Turkey, the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey, the EU Information Centres Network, Microsoft Turkey and Hürriyet Online.

My Imaginary Journey Web Site and Competition: This project aims to engaging young people to partake in intercultural dialogue by submitting their imagined travels in Europe as contemporary Evliya Celebis.
Evliya Celebi: Book of Travels Exhibition & Past and Present Our Shared Europe University Panels: This project entails visiting universities all across Turkey, where we present one of British Council’s main products: Evliya Celebi: Book of Travels Exhibition, and hold debates with university students with an interactive approach.
