Our aim is to advance debate, knowledge and skills in these areas, by organising seminars, workshops, trainings and netwoking events. Improving Inter-Agency Cooperation and Coordination within the Child Protection SystemProject Period: January 2006 - July 2008
Aim: This FCO (Foreign & Commonwealth Office) funded project aims to promote inter-agency coordination and cooperation to ensure an effective child protection system through developing coordinated child protection strategies in two pilot cities (İzmir and Kocaeli) for the adoption of a national strategy.

Project Period: June 2006 - May 2007
Aim: This project aims to be a follow up to the visits of The Independent Commission on Turkey (ICT) which was formed in 2004 by a group of former prominent statesmen of some EU countries chaired by Martti Ahtisaari, the former president of Finland, and established to examine arguments and to explore the potential benefits and challenges of Turkey's membership to the EU. This project will involve a visit of European journalists to Turkey for briefings on issues regarding Turkey’s EU accession with the aim of stimulating a more balanced, objective and informed debate in the European media about Turkish accession and to establish networks between European journalists and their Turkish counterparts.

Aim: The annual Bosphorus Conference aims to discuss issues relevant to Turkey’s EU accession in a frank and off-the-record platform with the participation of high-level politicians, academics, think tank members, media professionals, bureaucrats, businesspeople and NGO representatives both from Turkey and Europe, and to highlight areas where there is still work to be done and how these areas may in the future form part of the UK 's support to the accession process. It also aims to create networking opportunities for participants which will be useful to them personally and helpful to relations between Turkey and the EU member states.

Project Period: 2004 - 2006
Aim: This FCO (Foreign & Commonwealth Office) funded project aims to develop a human rights and working principles handbook for the members of the Human Rights Boards to strengthen the effectiveness of Human Rights Boards in Turkey with the expectation that this resource will be utilised by around 15,000 board members.

Aim: This project aims to raise awareness of the media concerning social inclusion issues and to promote responsible, sensitive and constructive journalism towards reporting disadvantaged groups in society through developing basic principles.
