Malawi (Africa) born British singer Malia, represents jazz music’s golden age with her voice, stance and appearance. Malia clinches this claim with her recent album “Black Orchid” in which she interprets Nina Simone songs and takes fans on a musical journey back to the golden age of jazz.
In collaboration with British Council, Malia will be performing at Tamirane as part of the 15th-year anniversary celebrations of the Garanti Jazz Green concert series on March 24th Saturday within the scope of the tour of her brand new album “Black Orchid”.

The Cinematic Orchestra Concert
Four lucky winners received their free tickets for The Cinematic Orchestra Concert at Tamirane. Congratulations to Çelenk Bafra, Günsil Kılıç, Esra Çakır and Erdoğan Çetin!
The Cinematic Orchestra, one of the leading ensembles of Contemporary Music in the world, was at Tamirane, with the collaboration of British Council, once again for two concerts that “opened the minds” of music lovers. Leaving a mark on “the city’s music memory” with their mind-blowing live performances that fascinated the audience last year, The Cinematic Orchestra was in Istanbul with the sponsorship of Garanti Bank, on May 20th and 21st. With its seven people orchestra, including Heidi Vogel on vocals, The Cinematic Orchestra performed unreleased compositions that took place in their new album, as well as compositions from their previously released albums. Blending Jazz and its derivatives, Electronica and Trip Hop in a bewitching and perfect manner for the past 12 years, The Cinematic Orchestra’s music makes one forget the boundaries between musical genres.
