What is FCE?
It is an internationally recognised examination in English for students who have completed over three terms at level 6 at the British Council or equivalent. FCE is very well known in commerce, industry, banking, airlines, etc.
The exam consists of 5 papers:
Paper Type
Paper 1 Reading (1 hour 15 minutes)
Paper 2 Writing (1 hour 30 minutes)
Paper 3 Use of English (1 hour 15 minutes)
Paper 4 Listening (approx. 40 minutes)
Paper 5 Speaking (approx. 15 minutes)

What happens after the exam?
Your exam papers will be sent to Cambridge University to be marked. Your papers will be given one of the following grades: A, B, C (all passes); D (nearly a pass) or E (a clear fail).
You will be informed when the results arrive at the Council. This usually takes two months. If you succeed, you will receive a certificate from the University of Cambridge about a month later.
