Provision of quality English language teaching and training, from primary learners to advanced corporate users, is at the heart of what we do in India and Sri Lanka.

Project English was launched in 2007 with the goal of reaching millions of teachers and learners of English in India and Sri Lanka and to provide them with access to the best resources from the UK.

Policy makers and partners

By 2010 every teacher and learner of English in the world will have access to teh skills, ideas and materials they need from the UK.

Teachers and trainers

We aim to facilitate reform in English language education and to improve the levels of language learning and teaching.

Direct teaching

We deliver training on English language, communication and inter-personal skills to adult learners and teachers of English through the British Council teaching centres.
