How to get involved

Global School Partnerships (GSP)

WHY GET INVOLVED?
Global School Partnerships is a powerful and exciting tool of bring global issues in to the life of young people, their teachers, parents, whole school and the local community. Through this programme a group of teachers and students in two continents work together on a same project. This can be a rewarding experience with a positive learning outcome which brings students of two countries to one platform

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
In order to take part in the programme Sri Lankan schools must meet the following criteria:

The school principal should select two teachers who could communicate well in English. If they acquire good ICT skills, it will be an added advantage. These two teachers will be responsible for coordinating the partnership (communicating with the partner school, conducting meetings with other teachers involved to review projects and making future plans).
Additionally, a couple of teachers from the school with different subject expertise (e.g. Science, History, Geography, Environment Related studies, Art, Dance, Music teachers) with considerably good English Language communication skills (at least to be able to speak) must be appointed by the principal (to build a good team from the school).
The selected teachers should be committed, enthusiastic, active and willing take the partnership forward
The school principal should be aware of the Global School Partnerships programme and provide the fullest support for the teachers involved.

SELECTION PROCESS
Once we receive your application it will be sent to the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Department for their approval. Once succesful, we will invite you for an induction of the programme.
