ENQUIRIES ABOUT RESULTS (EAR)/RE-CORRECTIONS

The Local closing date for Enquiries about Results/Re-corrections is Thursday 5 April 2012.

Applications for Re-corrections should be made only in respect of candidates whose performance differed markedly from their teachers’ expectations. Each request must be accompanied by a letter from the teacher/tutor concerned giving full details as to why it is felt that a clerical check or a total re-mark should be carried out. Applications not supported this way will not be accepted.
Form RC to request for re-corrections can be collected from Examinations Services. The payment can be made in cash, by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex), by cheque, bank draft, or bank transfer drawn in favour of the British Council.

Fees
Note that the fee is per paper. Subjects with two papers will be charged fee twice.

Service 1 (Clerical re-check)
Fee - Clerical Re- check per paper: Rs. 3,500/-
(Edexcel takes approximately 20 working days to review the inquiry from the date of receipt)

Service 2 (Reviewing of marking of externally assessed components)
Fee - Remark of Scripts per paper: Rs. 5,800/-
(Edexcel takes approximately 30 working days to review the enquiry from the date of receipt)

Candidates’ marks and subject grades may be confirmed, lowered or raised.

ACCESS TO SCRIPTS (ATS)

Access to scripts (Original)

Fee per unit/ paper: Rs 3,000/-
Deadline: Thrusday 21 April 2012
(Please note that once an original script has been returned to a centre, an EAR request cannot be carried out. Further where a script is subject to an Enquiry About Results, it cannot be returned until the enquiry has been completed. Please note that Edexcel cannot provide original scripts for papers that were marked online.)

DATA CHANGES

The local deadline for Data Changes will be Thursday 5 April 2012

If there are any mistakes with regard to the spelling of your name, date of birth etc. please forward them to us as soon as possible. Any subsequent changes will be charged Rs 9,000/- as this will require a new certificate.

Form DCH for this purpose can be collected from Examinations Services.

We will inform you by post when the certificates arrive at our office.

Candidates awaiting for January 2012 results and wish to repeat subjects:

•If you wish to re-sit subject(s) based on your results, please submit your second application form (with a copy of your results sheet for January 2012) to school by the deadline given to you from the school. Last date to submit applications to the British Council is 16 March 2012.
