The examinations consist of three levels: Certificate, Diploma and Advance Diploma.
EXAM DATES AND VENUE
British Council conducts the exam twice a year in
June and
December.
Examination venues are the British Council offices in Colombo and Kandy, for candidates who register via the British Council.

Registrations for the
December 2012 session will be open from
4 to 22 September 2012.

ENTRY PROCEDURE
complete and submit the application form and hand over along with the fees and the identification document. The application form should be completed in accordance with the City & Guilds International Regulations

Note: Please visit our Examinations Services counter to get information about the timetable of the subjects you are applying for. Please collect your sample question paper (offered free of charge) from the photocopying counter upon your registration.

FEES
Fee structure for the December 2012 session will be available by the first week of August 2012
Exam fee should be paid in Sri Lankan currency (Sri Lankan Rupees)

If you are unable to sit for the examination due to an illness or an accident, City and Guilds will consider a refund of 50% of the exam fee. You will need to submit proof of your condition along with your request for refund within one calendar month from the day of your exam
It is not possible to transfer fees from one examination session to another

IDENTIFICATION
Please submit a valid Passport, a National Identity Card or a Postal Identity Card along with your application. You will be required to show the same identification document on the day of your examination
PLEASE NOTE: On no account will a candidate be allowed to sit for the examination without NIC or passport.
