Cafe Scientifique Last Wednesday of every month, Posto Bar, Oslo
Vitenskapskafeen is the Norwegian name for Cafe Scientifique. We are collaborating with Unge Forskere and Forskning.no in bringing you inspiring cafe scientifique events on the last Wednesday of every month at Posto Bar in Oslo (Feber Oslo, our usual venue is now closed). NORThSOUTHEASTWEST Exhibition

20th May- 14th June 2005, Rådhusplassen, Oslo
This photo exhibition showed real examples of our changing climate and the effects, as well as innovative ways of how people have adapted their lifestyles and responded in resourceful ways. The photos were accompanied by essays from the likes of Kofi Annan, Tony Blair and Leonardo DiCaprio, which was aimed at inspiring viewers to think in a new, more personal and creative way about climate change. Youth Conference- Climate Change: What Research Can Do For Us

2 & 3 November 2005, Tekniske Museum, Oslo.
What causes climate change? How do researchers know that our planet is warming up? How do they gather their data? What are the consequences of a warmer climate? What can we do to prevent it? Ninety vidergående students discussed these questions and more at the British Council-hosted Youth Conference on 2nd and 3rd of November, 2005 at the Tekniske Museum in Kjelsås, Oslo. Spinning Scientific Stories

28 March 2006, The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, Oslo
The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters' majestic premises will play host to an exciting and innovative debate on science journalism on the 28th of March 2006. Scientists, journalists, activists and non-experts will look at the role of journalism in particular in the presentation of scientific controversies, comparing trends in Norway and UK. More info
