The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) certificate in business accounting (CBA) is CIMA's own entry route to the CIMA professional qualification.

CIMA T4, E3, F3, P3 Professional Examinations

We offer the computer-based professional examinations for CIMA T4, resit of E3, F3 and P3 in March and September.  For more information, please contact us on examinations@britishcouncil.org.hk.

CIMA CBA Examination (2005/2006 and 2011 syllabus)

The new 2011 syllabus is now available. Examinations based on the 2005/2006 syllabus will also be available until 30 June 2012.

Important Notice

From April 2012, the CIMA CBA test fee is $1,100.

Candidate can register for ONE paper ONLY per test date.

How can I register for the CIMA CBA?

If you wish to register by post, please send the completed form together with a cheque made payable to "British Council" to: Examinations Services, British Council, 3 Supreme Court Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong.

Alternatively, registration can be made in person at the Customer Services Centre on the 3/F, British Council, 3 Supreme Court Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong.

We regret that we cannot accept cash at the Customer Services Centre.  We only accept EPS and credit cards.

What is Computer Based Assessment (CBA)?

CBA uses the computer to examine students for each of the entry level Papers.  The computer will mark the answers and add the total marks achieved with the results being given as an immediate pass or fail.

What CBAs are available at the British Council?

You can sit for all CBA entry level examinations at the British Council.

How much does the CIMA CBA cost?

From April 2012, The test fee for CIMA CBA examination is $1,100.

How and when will I get my CIMA CBA results?

Certificates will be issued to candidates by post one week after the examination date.  

Special Needs

We aim to do our best to cater for candidates with special needs.  We will do all we can to enable candidates to understand test questions and ways of giving answers.  All candidates, irrespective of their disability, will be assessed fairly and objectively.

Candidates who require special arrangements are asked to contact us before they submit their application.  Relevant supporting materials such as medical certificates should be submitted during registration.

The British Council is not responsible for the contents of any external sites.
