BALKAN BEAT

24-25 April 2009, Arts Centre Grad, Belgrade

BalkanBeat is a regional music event designed to serve the needs of the professional music sector in South East Europe. Through a series of panel sessions, presentations and case studies BalkanBeat tried to address the needs of the music sector in the region.

BalkanBeat aims to serve two primary purposes:

education: a way to transfer skills, knowledge and best practice from longer established areas of the global music industry; to provide an overview of the current state of play, and to look at new developments and how things may develop in the future
communication: to bring together practitioners from South East Europe with experts from elsewhere in the world, and to improve networking within the region itself

BalkanBeat is part of the British Council’s Creative Collaboration programme and is coordinated by Cultural Front and Toby Brundin.

For further information, please visit BalkanBeat official website or contact Ivana Djurisic in our Belgrade office.
