The British Council presented British animations at the Comics Museum, in a series of five projections creating a retrospective of the last 17 years of British animations.
The five projections took place at the Comics Museum, in the frame of the National Contemporary Art Museum, Izvor Street, no. 2-4, every Friday, between 16 September and 14 October, starting with 6:30 p.m.
The selection comprised films which were awarded or nominated at the British Animation Awards, between 1994 and 2010, and aimed at illustrating the diversity and complexity of British animation in the past 17 years, including a variety of productions - student works, commercials, shorts, children's animation, experimentals and videos.
The Comics Museum is a pilot project run by the Romanian Cultural Institute and the National Contemporary Art Museum, with the support of the EUNIC cluster Romania, the Belgian Comic Strip Center and in partnership with the Association of Comic Collectors of Romania.
