The Open Society Institute, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the University of Essex scholarships enable qualified students to pursue taught postgraduate programmes within the Human Rights Centre of the University of Essex.
Scholarships are available for one year taught programmes:

Each award will provide for payment of academic tuition fees, exam fees, a monthly allowance for single student living expenses, and other agreed allowances (including one return economy airfare).
What do I need to apply?
You should be a national of, and normally resident in, Palestine at the time of applying for the award. If you are temporarily out of the country at the time of application (for a total period of less than three consecutive months) you may be treated as being a resident of Palestine.How can I apply?

How does the selection procedure work?
We will send all applications to Essex University Human Rights Centre. Applications will be considered by selectors for the programmes at the University who will prepare a short-list of applicants. By the end of March 2010 applicants will be informed as to whether they have been invited for interview and English language tests. It is expected that these will take place in April/May 2010.
