This article is about the competency of relationship-building. You will learn what is meant by the term and what a competent relationship-builder does. You will also learn what steps you need to follow if you want to develop this competency yourself. When you finish reading you will do a matching activity and a “True or False?”activity to check your comprehension. After that you will have the opportunity to do a grammar activity to practise gerunds and infinitives.
You can listen to a trainer at the end of a management training session. He is summing up the importance of relationship building as a competency – and reviewing ways of developing the competency. After listening you will have the opportunity to do two comprehension activities to check your understanding of the listening.
