The English Literature Admissions Test (ELAT) is a subject-specific admissions test taken by applicants to undergraduate courses in English at the University of Oxford.

In order to register for ELAT you should:
1. Read the ELAT Regulations carefully.
2. Fill in the ELAT Registration Form and pay the exam according to the British Council fees list to:

Before submitting your documents please make sure that:
Entries received after the deadline as well as incomplete entries will not be accepted.
In order to receive the registration documents, candidates can also contact any British Council Examination Centre Candidates can collect the documents in person or receive them by e-mail or post.
Information about the venue and time of the exam will be sent to candidates by e-mail approximately 2 weeks before the test date.
On the day of the exam please bring a valid identity document (with a recent photo), a pen, pencil and eraser.
WHEN CAN I REGISTER?
Requests for modified question papers – by 14th September 2011

You can register for the ELAT exam in the British Council office in Warsaw.
The exam can be taken at all British Council Examination Centres in Poland.
1. DISABLED CANDIDATES
Candidates who require special arrangements (e.g. candidates with hearing or visual difficulties) are asked to provisionally report it while subbmitting their registration forms to the British Council. Relevant supporting documentation, i.e. a medical certificate, application for special arrangements and registration form (both completed and signed by the candidate) together with a proof of payment - should be submitted to the British Council in Warsaw by the end of the particular registration period. Candidates who require modified question papers for disabled persons are asked to submit a medical certificate, completed and signed registration form and application for special arrangements together with a proof of payment to the British Council office in Warsaw by the 14th September 2011.
2. CANDIDATES WITH DYSLEXIA, DYSGRAPHIA OR DYSORTOGRAPHIA
Candidates applying for extra time for the examination because of dyslexia, dysgraphia or dysorthographia are asked to provisionally report it while subbmitting their registration forms to the British Council and submit the following documents to the British Council office in Warsaw by the end of the particular registration period:
1. a report provided by a fully qualified educational, clinical or chartered psychologist:
a) issued not earlier than two years before the exam date;
b) stating details of the degree of dyslexia, dysgraphia or dysorthographia;
2. a registration form and application for special arrangements (completed and signed by the candidate) together with a proof of payment
No documents will be accepted after the end of the particular registration period. Any request for special arrangements of candidates who provisionally reported their special arrangements needs in the registration form, but did not deliver the abovementioned documents by the end of the particular registration period will not be taken into consideration.
Candidates will be able to download their results using the Results Online system on 13th January 2012.
Information about how to retrieve results will be provided to candidates at the time of the relevant test.
