british council examination centre in BiałystokSince November 2011 the British Council Examinations Centre in Białystok has been based in a new location. It is hosted by the “Empik School” that is a part of one of the biggest and oldest networks of language schools in Poland. The building in which the “Empik School” operates is situated on the Ludwik Zamenhoff square. Ludwik Zamenhoff was the creator of Esperanto, and his vision of interliguistic communications is shared by the “Empik School” staff.
The centre’s dream is that Białystok becomes a bilingual city so that foreign tourists and foreigners interested in a longer visit could explore the potential of this region and integrate easily with the local community. Thus, the “Empik School” offers a wide range of language courses at different levels of proficiency and for various age groups.
Customers of the “Empik School” appreciate its professionalism, especially in terms of learning effectiveness and course organisation. They also enjoy Empik’s qualified and experienced teaching staff, who not only teach but also inspire their students. “Since I started learning English at the “Empik School” English has become my hobby. Our teachers have shown us how many things can be explored and how many people can be met thanks to English. Nowadays I spend around one hour each day visiting web pages in English and chatting with my foreign friends, in English of course” – admits one of the school’s students.
