Cambridge Assessment: FCE, CAE and CPE assessment procedures explained
The aim of the seminat is to present the assessment procedures for FCE, CAE, and CPE examinations as well as to offer participants practice is assessing candidates' performance. Special attention is paid to assessment of writing and speaking, two areas where a teacher's informed judgement is the most needed in order to offer students reliable feedback prior to the examination. The progression of dificulty from FCE to CAE to CPE is clearly shown, which helps teachers to gain confidence in assessing at different levels. All the exercises as well as assessment scales and other useful information are contained in the handout received by every participant. Throughout the training session, particpants are encouraged to ask questions on all aspects of the Cambridge exams.
