Kvalitets- eller konkurransereform? I hvilke retning går norsk høyere utdanning etter Kvalitetsreformen? Hvordan vil institusjonene organisere seg? Hva skjer med rekrutteringen når årskullene blir mindre? Hvordan vil det globale utdanningsmarkedet påvirke det nasjonale? Står gratisprinsippet i fare?

Dette er noen av spørsmålene vi stiller når vi inviterer til seminar og debatt om fremtidens utfordringer innenfor høyere utdanning. Seminaret er et ledd i British Council’s regionale prosjekt *Shaping Higher Education for the 21st Century og arrangeres i samarbeid med den norske deltakergruppen.

*”Shaping Higher Education for the 21st Century” is a new conference and workshop series from the British Council in Europe. The series aims to engage young people in discussion and debate about the challenges facing higher education in the 21st Century. This is a multinational project and involves participants from the UK, Norway, Finland, Hungary, Slovenia and Lithuania. The series will promote discussion and allow exchange of ideas on how the various challenges of higher education could be addressed nationally and Europe-wide, free from the constraint of existing structures and processes.

The participants from Norway are Peter Schwarz, Secretary General of the Norwegian Conservative Students Union, Stig Arne Skjerven, Director of Study Programmes Gateway College / KILROY Education, Susanne Skjørberg, advisor, NSU and Margrete Søvik, advisor SiU.
