Take part in the Mock Council of the European Union 2012 in Stormont Parliament Buildings!
This prestigious event is being organised by the British Council and the European Commission Office in Northern Ireland. We would like you to nominate a small group of students to role-play a mock meeting of the Council of the European Union. The mock Council will take place on Friday 19 October 2012. The event is aimed at 16-18 year olds and would appeal to students with an interest in European affairs or politics. By participating in the initiative, the students will find out more about the workings of the main decision-making body of the European Union. They will also get a chance to practise their debating and diplomacy skills in a realistic setting observed by teachers and students from the twenty-eight participating schools.
