Jazz Au Chellah is a festival which takes place every year in the beautiful Chellah palace. This year the British group, Portico Quartet, are opening the festival at 20.00 on Wednesday June 15th. The festival lasts 5 days.
A single performance ticket costs 30Dhs or 10Dhs for students, or there is a whole festival ticket available at 100Dhs, or 40Dhs for students. There is more information, and a programme for the festival at www.jazzauchellah.com/
Science exhibitionArun Ghosh, British-Indian jazz musician will be coming to Morocco in early 2012 to run a residency with local Moroccan musicians. The aim will be to look at a way of combining Arun's jazz roots with the Moroccan traditional instruments and style to create the perfect live soundtrack to a film.
This is part of the New Work New Audiences project to bring different types of art by different artists to Morocco. This lets the artists experience a new culture and see how their art relates to it, and it gives the Moroccan public an opportunity to experience something they would otherwise never get the chance to be a part of.

Uk film week2012 is set to be a year of arts at the British Council in Morocco, where we hope to hold a UK film week during which not only will there be viewings of some top UK films, but hopefully some insight from industry professionals, including directors and producers.
