You can take MRCPCH Part 1 and 2 exams at many of our centres. Prospective doctors must have been medically qualified for at least eighteen months. The closing dates for all overseas applications are six to seven weeks before the UK closing dates. Your local organiser (Ministry of Health) will be able to inform you of the closing date. The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow enjoys a unique and privileged position among its sister colleges in the UK in that both physicians and surgeons (including dentists) make up its Membership and Fellowship. Postgraduate medical studies in the UK can be very rewarding, and a great boost to your career. However, to practise medicine in the UK, doctors who hold an acceptable medical qualification from medical schools outside the European Economic Area can apply for limited registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
